Wednesday, December 20

On Wednesday we discovered sailing.   A personal instructor took us on the boat (they call it catamaran) and explained every detail of sailing.  It wasn’t hard at all.  The main secret is your back should always face the wind. Lira and I were switching sides to navigate the boat. We could get it to sail at a very high speed and there was always a danger of turning over but we managed well.

Windsurfing on the other hand needs a lot of practice. It is impossible to stay on board even for a couple of seconds.  I was most of the time in water trying to get on the board. I was able to surf away from the beach but spent the rest of the afternoon trying to get back. I got exhausted and cold but now I know what windsurfing all about.
