Saturday, December 23

Actually we got more than we anticipated. This is one of the only places we know where you can do several activities a day and meals, sports and entertainment are all included. You don’t have to arrange for them or pay extra. Summer camps are a perfect vacation solution for people who are not spoiled and fussy.

We had everything we needed in the room - telephone, hairdryer, linens, towels, soap, shampoo, and conditioner. There was a TV set in the room which we only used for checking the daily activities schedule and weather forecast. However, you still need to bring some stuff with you like water-resistant watch (every activity is scheduled), bug spray, first aid kit, cameras, etc. The local village boutique has almost everything you need during vacation but not everything is reasonably priced.

Every room in the village has two safe deposit boxes.  This is great because you do not need to worry about your valuables or documents left in the room during your stay.  All you carry with you is the room and safe deposit keys.

The weather in December was in the high 70s most of the time. We never had to run air-conditioning in the room. A short tropical storm swept across the region in the beginning of our stay. It came back a few times later in the week which didn't bother us at all because it eased the heat and humidity.

This was a perfect place for active people like us. We tried new things, learned a lot and didn't have to worry about anything going on outside the village. On our way to the bus the staff members lined up to wish us Bon Voyage and Ryan, Chef de Village, kissed each one good-bye. Good-bye Cancun! We'll be back!
